About Expedio

Boosting business revenue through partnerships.

By the Expedio team Published Last updated

Expedio is the partner network platform for the IDA Agent Network. We bring together operators who already serve foreign customers with the International Drivers Association — so your business can add a high-margin product to what you already sell, earn on every sale, and earn again from every operator you bring into your agent network.

What is Expedio?

Expedio is the partner network platform for the IDA Agent Network. It runs the partner distribution layer — applications, dashboards, tier management, commissions, payouts — so operators can offer the International Driving Permit (issued by the International Drivers Association) to foreign customers they already serve, and earn on every sale. Additional travel & mobility products are on the platform's roadmap.

Operators

Earn $20 on every direct IDP sale to customers you already serve — plus $5–$7 on every sale from operators you bring into your agent network.

Foreign customers

Get the documents they need (like an IDP) at the moment it matters — from a business they already trust, not a random search result.

Product partners

Reach foreign customers through operators who already own the relationship — without building distribution from scratch or paying acquisition costs.

We're here to help businesses unlock revenue that's already in their customer base — and to give product issuers a distribution layer that operators actually want to use. One agreement. One dashboard. Transparent commissions. Built to scale with the businesses on it.

Experience

The team behind Expedio has directly run partner operations, commission ledgers, and payout systems at prior platforms. That's why the infrastructure feels built by someone who's been in your seat — because it was.

Revenue

Revenue growth is the core value. Earn $20 on every direct IDP sale, plus $5–$7 on every sale from operators you bring into your agent network — compounding revenue without adding fixed cost or acquiring a single new customer.

Honesty

Flat commissions, published up front. $20 per IDP sale today — same clarity for every product that joins the network. We flag what's launched vs. what's roadmap, and we tell you when the math doesn't pencil out.

Technology

Technology is in our DNA. Every partner gets a real dashboard, a real commission ledger, and a real payout system — not a spreadsheet and a promise. Applications, tier management, referral tracking, and monthly settlement all run on one platform.

Reward

Our partners earn more when we earn more. That's it. No setup fees. No quotas. No exclusivity. Just shared upside on every sale — plus referral bonuses for operators who bring others into the network.

Leadership

The team behind Expedio.

Expedio is built by a small team with combined backgrounds in travel platforms, payments infrastructure, and cross-border compliance. The team directly ran partner operations, payout systems, and commission ledgers at prior roles — which is why Expedio's infrastructure looks the way it does.

Launch product partner

IDA International Drivers Association

We launched with the IDP. The platform is built to grow.

The program splits cleanly into two lanes. Expedio runs the partner side — applications, dashboards, tier management, commissions, payouts. International Drivers Association runs the product side — issuing the IDP, approving each partner and each application, supporting the end customer. Operators focus on what they do best: serving their customers. As additional products come onto the network in future phases, the same agreement and the same dashboard are designed to cover them.

Frequently asked

Common questions about Expedio

What is Expedio?
Expedio is a partner network for travel and mobility products. It runs the distribution layer — applications, dashboards, tier management, commissions, and payouts — so operators, creators, and businesses can offer products from third-party issuers like the International Drivers Association to foreign customers they already serve, and earn on every sale. Expedio launched in 2024 with the International Driving Permit and is adding new products (starting with visas) to the same network.
How is Expedio different from International Drivers Association (IDA)?
Expedio and the International Drivers Association play different roles within the same program. Expedio is the partner network platform — it handles partner applications, dashboards, tier management, commission ledgers, and payouts. IDA is the product issuer — it issues the International Driving Permit (IDP), approves each partner and each application, and provides end-customer support. The IDA Agent Network is the program name; expedio.co is the platform and domain where the program runs.
Who operates Expedio?
Expedio is the official partner network platform for the IDA Agent Network — the program through which the International Drivers Association operates its partner and agent relationships. IDA is the product owner and issuer. The platform is designed to host additional product partners (visas and other travel & mobility documents) as the program expands beyond its current IDP-only scope.
Which products can partners sell through Expedio?
Currently, partners sell only the International Driving Permit issued by the International Drivers Association — a UN Convention 1949 and 1968 format document recognized in 150+ countries. Additional travel & mobility products (such as visas) are part of the platform's roadmap for future phases and are not yet available for partners to sell.
Who qualifies to become an Expedio partner?
The current pilot prioritizes operating car rental businesses and licensed travel agents, with initial focus on Southeast Asia (Indonesia and Thailand). Related tourism, hospitality, relocation, and driving-school operators are also in scope on a case-by-case basis. Individual creators, freelancers, and other partner types may be considered as the program scales beyond the pilot phase. There is no minimum revenue or exclusivity requirement. Every application is reviewed individually by IDA for business fit.
How do partners earn money with Expedio?
Partners earn a flat commission per sale — $20 per International Driving Permit at launch. Network and Anchor tier partners who refer other qualified operators earn additional bonuses: $5 per sale from Direct-tier partners they onboard, and up to $7 per sale from Network-tier partners in their network. Commissions clear after a 30-day refund hold and are paid monthly in USD via bank transfer, PayPal, or local e-wallet.
Is there a fee to join Expedio?
No. Expedio does not charge setup fees, monthly fees, sales quotas, or exclusivity requirements. Partners can cancel with 30 days' notice. Commissions that have cleared the 30-day refund hold remain yours; commissions still in hold at the time of termination are forfeited, unless IDA terminates the agreement without cause. The platform earns by keeping a share of each product partner's per-sale fee — not by charging its own partners.
Where is Expedio based?
The partner agreement is governed under the laws of the Republic of Singapore, with secondary jurisdiction in DIFC (UAE) for cross-border matters. The pilot is focused on car rental operators and travel agents in Southeast Asia (beginning in Indonesia and Thailand) with broader rollout planned as the partner network scales.
