What is Expedio?
Expedio is the partner network platform for the IDA Agent Network — the program through which the International Drivers Association distributes the International Driving Permit (IDP) to operators who already serve foreign customers. Expedio runs the partner side (applications, dashboards, tier management, commissions, payouts); IDA runs the product side (issuing the IDP, approving partners, end-customer support).
Who can become an Expedio partner?
The current pilot prioritizes operating car rental businesses and licensed travel agents in Southeast Asia (Indonesia and Thailand). Tourism, hospitality, relocation, concierge, and driving-school operators are also in scope. Individual creators, freelancers, and enterprise multi-location operators may be considered as the program expands. No minimum revenue or follower threshold.
How much can I earn with Expedio?
You earn $20 on every direct IDP sale to your customers. Network-tier partners earn an additional $5 on every sale from operators they onboard into their agent network. Anchor-tier partners earn +$7 on every Network sale and +$5 on every Direct sale in their network. Use the scorecard above to model realistic monthly revenue for your specific customer volume.
Is there a fee to join?
No. No setup fee, no monthly platform fee, no sales quotas, no exclusivity. Cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. Commissions that have cleared the 30-day refund hold remain yours; commissions still in hold at termination are forfeited (unless IDA terminates without cause). Expedio earns by keeping a share of each product partner's per-sale fee — not by charging partners.
How long does approval take?
IDA reviews applications within 48 hours. Once approved, your partnership manager walks you through the dashboard, sales collateral, and your first month's playbook. Your first sale can ship the same week.
When and how do I get paid?
IDA settles payouts monthly on the 1st for commissions that cleared the 30-day refund hold, once your balance reaches $50. Payments via bank transfer, PayPal, or local e-wallet — all in USD. Full statement and commission ledger live in your Expedio dashboard.
